If you are planning to attach a trailer to your vehicle you need to be aware of the concept an electric brake system. As the trailer itself does not have a brake system it needs to be installed to it with the controls with the driver in the vehicle. Electric brake system consists of components that are mounted on the trailer and the vehicle. To control the brakes you need to have the electric brake controller strategically placed in a location that is easily in range of the driver. The left and right electric brake components are attached to the trailer, an emergency brake kit and drum and hub assemblies.
